Group of 17 Imperial Japanese Postage Stamp Booklets with a variety of colourful woodblock printed covers
[Japan] Unusual assortment of booklets used for Japanese stamp and postcard collectors. Occasionally single items appear but this is the first rather large batch we have come across. Each booklet contains original stamps and some with postcards. We are unsure about the value of the stamps and postcards but it is the cover designs that make these collectable. Of the 17 booklets, 9 are the same design but the other 8 are each different. All are titled in English except one which is in German.
No place or publisher (presumably the Japan postal authority). ND (c1905).
Each with 2 to 5 leaves. Larger booklets 19 x 12.6cm and smaller booklets 11.5 x 16cm.
In fair to good condition. Most with age wear and some minor creasing and damage. Some with stamps removed and/or cut out. e36121753
