[Japan] Fascinating Japanese book edited by Kataoka Kenzo that was published for people interested in knowing their fortunes, whether good or bad, lucky or unlucky. The six, small divining rods are thrown and all possible combinations of how they land can be interpreted using the book. There are also 12 nicely-executed, double-page copperplate-printed illustrations. Marbled edges and marbled paper covering lower board. Attractive illustrated title plate laid down on upper board as issued. Unable to find any copies outside Japan.

120pp + 5 double-folded leaves, 6 divining rods (each 3.6cm long). 12.8 x 8.7cm (Box 14.8 x 12.3cm).

 

In very good condition. Minor closed tears on endpapers neatly repaired. Small, old, ownership stamp on endpaper. Cloth covered spine with minor worming. Minor abrasions on box but over all very good. b36071674
