CDV of Japanese interpreter named Kido taken by S. Ichida in Kobe
[Japan] Very nice carte de visite of a Japanese interpreter named Kido as indicated on the rear. As part of Ichida's studio mount design on the rear, we can see the medal he received for participting in the 1881 Second National Industrial Exhibition held in Ueno Park, Tokyo. Ichida ran the most successful photo studio in Kobe from 1867 until about 1887 when his son took over.
