Woodblock Print of Kasumigaseki, Tokyo Utagawa Hiroshige
[Japan] Very nice woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige showing part of the Kasumigaseki area of Edo [Tokyo]. Apparently, this was published by Aritaya Seiemon between 1840 and 1847 as part of a series sponsored by a group of haiku poets called the Haikairen. Each print contains a haiku and this one reads something like, "'Distant haze, over the ocean, from Chiyoda', [by] Baigetsuan Rosetsu."
