[Japan] Lovely, folding book (orihon) containing 20 chuban size prints (10 on each side) telling the stories of women, some good and some evil. Each print is titled, 'Zen aku fujin den' and most are dated 1881 at the top left. Toyohara Kunichika (1835-1900) also used the name Arakawa Yasohachi which can be seen on some prints at lower left.

20 prints. Book size 17.5 x 11.5cm (when folded).

 

In very good condition. Covers with some wear. Internally in very good shape with only minor age wear and no worming. In modern, custom made, decorative folding case. b36061640
