Miyako no Hikari Vol. 1 - Kimono Design Book by Ueno Seikō
[Japan] Impressive, woodblock printed, kimono design book with 24 pages of illustrations by Ueno Seikō, who is know to have made designs for a number of books from this era. This is volume 1 only (of a 3-volume set). The woodblock carver was Kinoshita Yūnosuke and the surishi (who prints from the woodblocks) was Tarui Kamejirō. Bound accordian style. All volumes are difficult to find, but we also have Volume 3 available.

In good condition. Covers with some wear and minor loss to paper covering boards. Old collection label remnant at upper right of front cover. A few pages with minor separation at folds and some old Japanese archival paper repairs to folds. Designs are all very good. b35101472
