The Rokkasen Large format crepe paper book by Akiyama Aisaburo
[Japan] The Illustrated Poems by the Six Poetical Geniuses. The first of the four large format crepe paper books by Akiyama and now quite scarce in good condition. Some of the most beautiful, colour woodblock prints in any crepe paper book. Although the colophon dates are the same, this is not the Kelly & Walsh edition because this version lists A. Akiyama specifically as the publisher and Nishii Saikyo as the printer. It is also slightly larger than the Kelly & Walsh edition.
