Verdant Simple's Views of Japan or the Contents of His Note Book by Grenon
[Japan] Very scarce book and, according to Joseph Rogala, purportedly written by Alice Vaughan-Smith, a writer for the Japan Gazette from 1889 to 1891. Only one copy in Japanese institutes (Jissen Women's University Library) and most WorldCat copies appear to be digital only.

Boards worn and faded with some loss to illustrated paper covering. Binding a bit delicate and slightly loose but pages are holding. Front free end paper darkened. Inscribed on ffep by 'E.A. Tymms, Kobe, Japan Oct. 20th 1911'. Internally good to very good. Old stain near binding on final two leaves. b35071436
