Twenty-Four Hours at Shinbashi and Yanagibashi Lovely woodblock print with camera by Yoshitoshi
[Japan] From Yoshitoshi's wonderful series of twenty-four woodblock prints depicting twenty-four hours in the red-light districts of Shinbashi and Yanagibashi. This print titled, '12 o'clock noon' is especially interesting as it depicts a geisha sitting while her photo is taken. The Japanese title of the series is 'Shinryu Nijushi toki'.
