CDV of Mogami Goro Taken in London. Signed and inscribed.
[Japan] Scarce CDV of Satsuma clan member, Mogami Goro (1845-1912). He apparently studied overseas from around 1870. According to one source, when Mogami was a student at the Shizuoka Gakumonsho, he introduced the expression 'Keiten Aijin' ['Respect God and Love People'] to Saigo Takamori, who came to like the phrase. Photo inscribed, presumably by Mogami himself.
