CDV of Joseph Dautremer, Charles Didelot, and Edouard Batelot Only known photo of Dautremer taken in Japan

[Japan] Scarce carte-de-visite of Joseph Dautremer (1860-1946), the French diplomat and scholar, between naval officers Charles Didelot (1861-1933) and Edouard Batelot (1858-1894). Dautremer published several books on Japan and was also the translator of almost all of Hasegawa Takejiro's Japanese fairy tales into French. Although there is no inscription on the rear of this photo, another identical CDV identifies the three men in the photo and the final two images in this listing show that inscription.
