Set of Ten Illustrated Silk Squares in Original Box by the S. Shobey Silk Store of Yokohama
[Japan] Very scarce set of silk squares in their original box. Each square has a hand-painted illustration of a Japanese scenic view and the squares have silver threads at the top and bottom as well as gold threads on the left and right. Presumably a complete set of 10.

Box measures 18.5 x 18.5cm. Each square approx. 17 x 17cm.
In very good condition. The silk squares appear to have never been used. The box is damaged and the original glassine wrapper is darkened. nb34120012
