[Japan] A Paper Read on Tuesday, January 15th, 1890. Almost surely the first publication on Japanese art by Charles Holme (1848-1923), who went on to found The Studio art magazine. He visited Japan in 1889 with Alfred East and Arthur Lasenby Liberty and his wife so this lecture he gave to the Warrington Literary & Philosophical Society obviously came about from his visit to Japan.
