Collection of 295 Labels of Silk, Cotton & Other Fabric Manufacturers Wonderful range of designs from Meiji to early Showa
[Japan] Superb collection of pre-WWII, decorative, labels of Japanese companies mounted on paper and inserted into plastic sleeves inside a large, modern, album with plastic covers. The vast majority of the almost 300 labels are of various Kansai-based textile manufacturers, along with dyers and weaving companies. The final page contains a coloured copperplate print of a Nagoya-based factory dated 1899. Most labels appear to date from around 1900-1930. Would display very nicely.
Album measures 47.5 x 31.1cm.
