[Japan] Scarce guidebook published by The Welcome Society which was founded in 1893 by Eiichi Shibusawa and was the forerunner to today's Japan Travel Bureau (JTB). Illustrated and with numerous advertisements of the day. This is a separate, and more comprehensive series than, 'Useful Notes and Itineraries for Travelling in Japan,' by the same society and is a stated, 4th edition, revised. The 1st edition of this guidebook appeared in 1905. Complete with two fold-out maps.

In very good condition. Clear tape at top and bottom of spine covering. Top of spine bumped. Minor age wear. One blank page with a few words written at top in pen. Otherwise very good. b33101055
