Hanging, Crepe Paper Calendar for 1934 by Hasegawa Takejiro
[Japan] Wonderful calendar on crepe paper woodblock printed on single sheets of crepe paper. The designs were apparently for small Japanese towels known as 'tenugui'. Although the colophon is dated 1905, whch is probably the first year that these designs were published (and Hasegawa was known to re-use earlier colophons to save time and money), this work would have been published in 1933.
14 leaves. 25.2 x 6.5cm.
