[Japan] Stunning, woodblock printed triptych showing the energetic performance of a French equestrian circus troupe that performed within the grounds of the Asakusa Kannon temple in 1871. The artist Utagawa Kuniteru II (1830-1874) produced a number of impressive prints during his relatively short career. Signed Ichiransai Kuniteru at lower right of first panel.
