Illustrated Book of Sixteen Ancient Ceremonial Decorations Impressive woodblock prints by Furuya Korin
[Japan] A large, impressive, silk-covered folding book (orihon) containing 27 pages (including diptychs) of superbly executed colour woodblock prints of various ceremonial decorations. The detail and quality are superb. At least one later edition was published in 1933. This is the first edition of 1903. The text was by Inokuma Asamaro and the woodblocks by Furuya Korin.
