Japanese Studies by H.G. Ponting Inscribed by Tokyo Mayoress, Yei Theodora Ozaki
[Japan] Collotyped by K. Ogawa F.R.P.S., this is a very nice copy of Herbert Ponting's popular work on Japan containing 52 pages of collotype photos. Especially interesting for the images of Japanese artisans (an embroiderer, ivory carvers, a bronze sculptor, a pottery painter, and a potter) at work. Inscribed by Yei Theodora Ozaki, wife of Tokyo governor Yukio Ozaki. Sold by Kelly & Walsh, Yokohama.
Tokyo. Ogawa Kazumasa. 1906.
