Musical Japan by Miss Dulcie Harmony Published by Akiyama Aisaburo

[Japan] Large format crepe paper book introducing the following traditional Japanese musical instruments: koto, samisen [shamisen], taiko, tsuzumi, fuye [fue], gekkin and kokyu. The beautiful, woodblock printed art was done by Chikanobu. One of the nicest, large crepe paper books not published by Hasegawa. This particular copy is unusual with 'Sold by Maruya & Co.' imprinted on the colophon rather than the usual, 'Published by A. Akiyama...'.

14pp. 18.3 x 23.9cm.

In very good condition. A couple of stains on the front cover that go through to the preface page (inside the front cover). Otherwise in very good to fine condition. b33060972
