Stereo Photo of the Japan Booth at the International Exhibition of 1862 London Stereoscopic and Photographic Company
Very scarce image of the first International Exposition to show Japanese products (that were brought to England by Sir Rutherford Alcock). Superb detail. Titled as issued around the edges: 'The International Exhibition of 1862. No. 24 - The Japanese Court. London Stereoscopic and Photographic Company'. The name 'James I. Hayho' and the number '103' is written neatly on the rear. This is a very nicely hand-coloured version.
17.4 x 8.3cm.
In very good original condition with minor age wear to the mount.
