Strangers in Strange Lands Translated by Dr. Humour
[Japan] Interesting and rather obscure work that tells various anecdotes of Japanese people while in Europe or the US. Most are referred to with just the first letter of the surname (i.e. Mr. K_ or Dr. T_ etc.) but some names are mentioned including Komyoji Saburo, Hoshi Toru, Maruyama Sakura, and Kubota [Beisen]. This is the first edition and there was even a 5th edition published in the same year so it seems to have been a popular book.
