CDV of Jules Gosselin employee of Meynard, Cousin & Co.
Superb CDV showing Jules Gosselin, who was apparently employed as a clerk by H. Meynard at his company, Meynard Cousin & Co. in Shanghai. He also worked for Hector Meynard in Yokohama according to the book, 'Voiles de Soie: De Marseille À Yokohama, Japon' (2002) by Claude Touraine so we believe this photo was taken in Yokohama. Inscribed on rear at bottom in French, 'Gosselin, employé de M. Meynard Xber [October] 1869.'
