[Japan]. Superb photo showing two French men dressed in kimono with two Japanese ladies. The men are Emile Adet and Gustave Campredon, who worked for the wine and champagne importing company, Adet, Campredon & Co. and are listed in the Japan Directory for 1892. This photo is bigger than most large format photos.
Attributed to Usui Shuzaburo (see p.113 of Early Japanese Images by Terry Bennett with photo using same folding screen in backgroud). c1885.
