To Nippon the Land of the Rising Sun by the NYK by Wilson Le Couteur
Illustrated guide book to Japan by Le Couteur, who later spied on France for Australia. He seems to have thoroughly enjoyed his time in Japan but ends with a brief account of an incident in Sydney when the vessel returned and some children fell into the harbour. Luckily, most were rescued by crew who jumped in to save them.
