Shimooka Renjo CDV of Western Man Previously undiscovered Renjo studio mount
Extremely scarce CDV by Renjo of an unidentified Western man. The mount states 'Renjio. Pho. Yokohama.' at the bottom and this is believed to be the first such Renjo mount to be found. The only time such wording has been found by us is at the bottom of Renjo's famous lithograph of Tokugawa Ieyasu which was made in 1871/2. It is likely that Renjo only used this particular mount for a very short period which would explain why no others have been discovered.
