Unique Trove of Samurai Armour Designs Hand-drawn and coloured from the late Edo era
Wonderful hand-drawn, detailed designs of various samurai armour (yoroi) parts comprising 8 unmounted scrolls and 18 pages of varying sizes. The longer scrolls measure 27cm x 300-400cm long. The largest of the single pages folds out to about 56 x 146cm. Such a large group of manuscript illustrations rarely appears on the market, most being in museums or other collections.

Undated but c.1820s-1840s.
In very good condition. Some wear and creasing. No worming.
