Shipping Receipt from Yokohama to New York City for 2 cases of curios bought by Dr. Moses Allen Starr
[Japan] Original receipt for two cases of curios bought by Dr. Mosen Allen Starr in Japan and to be shipped home on the S.S. Guy Mannering from Yokohama to New York City. Starr (1854-1932) was a well-known neurologist who lived for a time at 22 West 48th Street, New York City, the address on the receipt. He later moved to 5 West 54th Street, a building which is still known today as the Dr. Moses Allen Starr Residence. Dated Sept. 9, 189_, the receipt is c1895.
