Signed letter from Josiah Conder to Mrs North Regarding dyed fibre paper samples

[Japan] Signed letter from renowned British architect, Josiah Conder (1852-1920), written on personal paper embossed with his Tokyo address ('25 Mikawadai Machi, Azabu, Tokio') at top right. Conder mentions that the only place that makes such dyed fibre paper is in Kakegawa (western Shizuoka). It is unclear who Mrs. North is, but Conder writes that he could send his paperhanger to her, so that implies she may have been living in Japan.

Single folded sheet of paper written on two sides. Dated 11th May, 1908.

In very good condition. Some pencil notes of an itinerary on rear. nb34050002
