Souvenir of the 11th Postal Union Congress With selection of actual Japanese stamps

Interesting silk-covered, Japanese string-bound album that would have been given by a Japanese attendee to attendees from other countries. The Postal Union Congress is held every four years to discuss various issues facing the international postal system. The 1939 was the last one held before WWII. The album contains 31 unused Japanese stamps on 7 leaves as issued. Each leave has a description in French along with a tissue guard. Also contains an envelope from the Congress that contains loose stamps (Japanese and Argentinian) and two small printed pages referring to some stamp issues.

In very good condition. Covers with minor wear. Some foxing to tissue guards and inside covers. All 7 pages with stamps are very good.
